Officer Hite was killed in a pursuit across Tucson June 1 that involved many police officers ending with the suspect captured, two wounded and Office Hite dead. Over 200 rounds were fired by the suspect. Yesterday Tucson buried officer Hite. It was one of the most heart rendering thing to have been a part of. Please go to the AZ Stars web site and read and look at the slide show of the funeral. Pantano & Speedway was blocked for over 2 hours with the percession going by, it was 11 miles long. The picture that was on the news but I didn't see on the web site was of two fire department ladder trucks which had there ladders extended & crossed over the street where the percession had to pass under with the american flag hanging down from the two crossed ladders. WOW!!!! Please honor his family and this man who has protected us here in Tucson for the last 4 years and in military service before that by reading about him on the web site.
