The smoke has cleared from the twelfth annual "FHTV Summer Bash". We had33 "Horizonites" visit the Gregorich/Jordan Ranch on the beautifulMuskegon River (picture#1). Our Golfers got 18 holes in before therains came. The big winners on the FHTV Tour were, Dick Black, NewellJohnson, Harold Gregorich, and Chuck Paterson. Look for the highlightson ESPN's highlights of the week, especially the closest to the pin onthe 187 yard par three hole #5. Tiger Woods is on the injured list andopted out of out tournament but those that played had a had a great time.We also celebrated the birthday's of Chuck Kalkbrenner and John Brimley. On Friday the day between the parties a group of us attended the Evart,Michigan Dulcimer Festival. Lots of great entertainment and interestinginstruments. As usual the food was great, baked ham, beans, and manydelicious dishes to pass. Those that stayed for the full five day bashkayaked and canoed the river on Saturday and then enjoyed a Pig Roast andMusic in the Jordan's barn. The entertainment was provided by FarHorizon's own "Tres Amigos" consisting of Pete Jordan, Rob Kotecki, andHarold Gregorich. They were supported by Gene Harris on Sax, MarilynJones on fiddle, Lori Campbell on guitar, and Willow Robinson on autoharp who did her famous "Duct Tape" song. On Sunday the hard corepartiers cleaned up and floated the river again. See you all again nextyear.
