Hello, Hello!
Our trip north went very well and God was good all the way. We encountered no brisk headwinds to suck up fuel and no snow to stop us in our tire tracks. Although we did leave Twin Falls ID at 3:30 PM because of high headwinds and were chased west by snow flurries. We saw an area shrouded in frost, which we suddenly realized was a hoar frost. Beautiful! Everything was coated white. Went down Cabbage Hill in OR in rain, sun, snow flurries, sun, some wind . . . but no problems there either.
Vicki's Mama is doing pretty well. One, two days "up", two, three days "down", but for 90 she is doing well. Mike's job in Maintenance out at the Olympic National Park, Mora Campground, hasn't started yet because his background check isn't complete -- the people we put down for reference didn't receive their forms until 8 days after we left FHTV!? A bit of a hassle, but we have to believe this too shall pass.
It's been a blessing to keep informed of Ralph Mahlke's progress on the Caring Bridge. We've been visiting with friends, have seen two of our kids and families, and am looking forward to a visit from a sister from Oklahoma City! Hoping to see some of our FHTV Family up this way.
Hugs & God's Blessings to Everyone -- Happy Mother's Day to all Moms!
